I'm a mom of two boys, two crazy energetic boys, and I married my high school sweetheart. We love to travel & we love to explore! Our oldest son has already been across the United States, Canada & Alaska. Since having our second son, we've bought a camper and continue to travel, but on a smaller scale . . . it's a little harder to travel with two kids on a plane and a lot more expensive! I love to style & host parties, collect vintage things, go thrift shopping, collect way too many props, design and redesign my house, and take way too many photos, mostly of my boys on my iPhone.

I only book photo sessions one weekend out of each month to ensure that I am able to spend plenty of time with my family. I'm a wife and mother first & a business owner second. I also write a mommy lifestyle blog, Chan to Mars, work as a freelance graphic designer, web author, social media manager & product photographer! Like most of you mommas out there, I stay very busy! 

My passion for photography started in 2003 when I received my first digital camera as a birthday gift. In 2007, I started booking photo shoots. I've come a long way since those first couple of years of photos shoots and I am always evolving. I strive to become a better photographer with every photo session, like James Ray said, "if you're not growing, you're dying". I read somewhere, a photographer said, "If you like my work now, then you're going to love my work in the future". I believe that. I'm always practicing, always perfecting. 

I'm taking a different approach this year . . . photo sessions will be more about the moments & less about the poses. I just ask everyone to act natural, act like a family & I'll be there to capture it. Less of a director & more of an observer. I am a natural light photographer. No studio here, I come to you!
